The effect of laser marking varies according to the production process of acrylic, which is mainly categorized into two techniques: casting and calendering.
Poured acrylic sheet
Laser engraving/marking: Poured acrylic sheets are suitable for laser engraving with a frosted white color. The laser ablates the surface of the material, creating tiny depressions and forming high-contrast markings.
Applicable scenarios: Commonly used in the production of products that require clear marking and high-contrast effects, such as awards, signs, crafts and so on.
Calendered acrylic sheet
Laser cutting: calendered acrylic sheet is more suitable for laser cutting, the cutting surface shows a transparent color, no obvious white edges. This is because the calendered sheet has a higher density and uniformity of material, and the heat generated during laser cutting is more evenly distributed.
Laser engraving/marking: The laser engraving effect presents transparent engraving marks, suitable for applications requiring fine and low contrast marking.
Applicable Scenarios: Widely used for products that require precision cutting, such as display racks, model making, signage, etc.
